The most historic event in circuit powerboat racing is the 2010 Hungry Jacks UIM Unlimited Displacement World Powerboat Championship. To be held on the 15th, 16th and 17th October outside the Gol Gol Hotel, NSW on the banks of the Murray River. Witness American K Boats take on the Aussies and Kiwi’s in this historical event. All boats will be fitted with the new Reinforced Safety Cells in both of the top classes. The event also features Australia’s top 6.0 Litre Race Boats along with our upcoming superstars in the Junior Classes.
This class of powerboat racing offers all the elements of a thrilling encounter when five boats racing at over 150mp side by side on an oval circuit for approximately 3-4 laps per race, you can guarantee sometimes that you forgot to take a breath. These race boats produce awesome power, fury and high level driver skill and bravery. Engines produce up to 2400hp which pushes these boats to speeds in excess of 150mph or 250 kph. They are one of the most powerful race boat classes in the world today and have the sound to prove it!

You won’t miss any of the action with live footage and slow motion replays on the huge 40m² big screen situated in the Main Arena. If you feel the need for an adrenaline rush you can go into the draw for a fast and furious ride in the Official Start Boat or take a ride in the Orrcon Steel V8 Supercar Simulator.

If that is not fast enough for you, wait until you witness Australia’s Only Top Fuel Hydro Boat (brought to you by Hungry Jacks) take to the water with over 7000hp pushing it to extreme speeds.

Friday 15th October, 2010
A day not to be missed if you want to get up close and personal with the Race Boats and World Teams. All teams will be presented to you at lunch time, you can meet your favourite team, get your photo and autographs. All teams will then take to the water for an afternoon of practice, getting to know the course and testing their fierce machinery.

Saturday and Sunday 16th & 17th October, 2010.
Racing is due to begin at 11.00am. Major heats held both days with over 28 heats of the World Unlimited Displacement Circuit Boats. The final, to decide the first World Championship will be held on Sunday. The Official After Party at The Sandbar at Mildura on Sunday Evening will close the event where all the drivers will celebrate what we expect to be one of the most contested race events ever to be held in Australia and the world.
